Martin Toler Jr., 51, entered into his heavenly home on January 2, 2006 due to a mining accident (lightning may have caused an explosion that trapped and killed him with 11 other miners in Sago, Upshur Co; one miner survived). Born January 22, 1954, he was the son of the late Martin and Ethel (Cline) Toler of Cyclone, WV.
Martin Toler Jr was a 1971 graduate of Oceana High School. He had over 30 years of experience in the mining industry. Jr was a devoted Christian, a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and Adult Bible Study Teacher at Stump Chapel Church at Tesla, WV. He was a doting and loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved life to its fullest and was a strong witness and blessing to all that knew him.
His final message was "Tell all I will see them on the other side."

Otto Jennings Toler was born on August 22, 1915 in Leatherwood Creek, Mingo Co., West Virginia to parents Ira Arthur Toler (1875-1935) and Luverna Evelyn Browning (1890-1979). He had siblings Luther, Hewey, Loren Arhur, Leander Grayson, Vivian May, Ira Norman, Florence, Alta Marie, Cecil Wirt, Juliett, and other infant siblings who did not survive.
In 1942, he married Ruby Venus Christian (1924-2004) and the couple had multiple children together including Patricia Ann (1947-2022), Saundra Kay (1951-2006), Lina Lou (1954-2005), Brenda Sue (1956-1958), Kenneth Ray (1964-2018), and others including an infant who did not survive.
Otto enlisted on November 3, 1945 in Camp Pickett Blackstone Virginia and served in the US Army from November 3, 1945 until December 21, 1946.
