Big Jim Wilson was born in Nashua, NH in 1842 and died in Long Island NY in 1913. He didnt marry the mother of my grandfather Sadie Wheeler born in Hollis, NH in 1843 but took her to Cleveland, Ohio where they had 2 kids...Walter W Wilson born in 1872 and Sadie Belle born in 1873. The mom Sadie moved back to Hollis with the kids to care for her father. She married there but died a few years later. I'd like to find out who finished raising the kids. Maybe her sister Sarah since I was told her name was Sarah or Sadie. For this reason she was very hard to find but find her I did! Jim went on to NYC where he was a gambler and bookie and a member of the prestigious Knickerbocker Club.

Im trying to find info on my father Robert Casden or Cosdin Wilson born 1914of Bexar County, Texas. Know nothing about him except, he was a sign painter and lived in San Antonio Texas at one time, and was very fond of area. He was about 6 ft tall, dark eyes, dark hair and dark olive complexion. He was in Miami Fl. 1946 and married Frances Murdock. They divorced in 1951. Any info is a help. Thanks,

Sounds like my family. Grandfather is from Texas, same area. Max Wilson... super tall, black hair, dark eyes and very tan skin tone. He was in the army and subsequently moved to Louisiana along with some other unknown Wilson's.

Sorry this is not a story but an inquiry. One of my Paternal GGrandmother's name was Pricey Wilson, her Father was Thomas Wilson, Mother was Barbara McColley. I think they came from Pike county KY but not sure. Pricey married my GGrandfather John M Riffe from Wyoming & Logan county WV. Would like to hear from anyone who is related to the Wilsons. Thanks.

This is the story that has been passed down in our family. My materinal great grand parents, John C. and Lizzie Elizabeth Donovon Wilson came to Highland, Kansas by covered wagon between 1884 and 1892. John was born in Sussex County, Delware and Lizzie was born in Batsto, New Jersey. They were married in Delaware on 27 August, 1884. To this union 5 children were born:Mary Mamie(1886),Paris (1889), twins May and June (1891-1892) and Stella G. (1898). All of the children execpt Stella were born in Delaware.
The twins, May and June died 6 to 8 months after they were born and Stella lived to be 25 years of age. My grand mother Mamie was married to Charles Thomas Butner in 1903 at Highland, Kansas. To this marriage 10 children were born, two children died early in their lives. Tom and Mamie's decendants now live thru out the United States-Kansas, Missouri,Michagen,Iowa, Nebraska,Alamaba,Virigina and Florida.
The twins, May and June died 6 to 8 months after they were born and Stella lived to be 25 years of age. My grand mother Mamie was married to Charles Thomas Butner in 1903 at Highland, Kansas. To this marriage 10 children were born, two children died early in their lives. Tom and Mamie's decendants now live thru out the United States-Kansas, Missouri,Michagen,Iowa, Nebraska,Alamaba,Virigina and Florida.

The Modern Woodmen of America Camp No. 8002 was organized at Vale, South Dakota April 20, 1900. Charter members were: Otto D. Anderson, Edwin G. Tindall, Emil Milberg, George W. Ferrell, Albert E. Walter, Chas. H. Owen, Wm. R. Glover, Chas. A. Wilson, Thos. F. Stevenson, George Maass, and Miner Wood, Sr.
Meetings were held in the Rosander hall until the present Woodmen Hall was built in 1908.
To date there are nineteen adult members and five junior members. Officers are: Roy H. Wood, Consul: Alvin G. Wahlfeldt, Adviser; Dale Kingsbury, Sr., James Glover, Howard K. Wilson, Trustees; Henry J. Wilson, Secretary-Treasurer.
Four members served in World War II; Roy H. Wood, Army; Robert Donahey, Army; Dale Kingsbury, Jr., Air Force; Ray K. Wilson, Navy.
Sun Flower Camp No. 9906, Royal Neighbors of America, was organized at Vale in August, 1925. It was transfered to Newell, Cactur Camp 6726 in 1935.

Meetings were held in the Rosander hall until the present Woodmen Hall was built in 1908.
To date there are nineteen adult members and five junior members. Officers are: Roy H. Wood, Consul: Alvin G. Wahlfeldt, Adviser; Dale Kingsbury, Sr., James Glover, Howard K. Wilson, Trustees; Henry J. Wilson, Secretary-Treasurer.
Four members served in World War II; Roy H. Wood, Army; Robert Donahey, Army; Dale Kingsbury, Jr., Air Force; Ray K. Wilson, Navy.
Sun Flower Camp No. 9906, Royal Neighbors of America, was organized at Vale in August, 1925. It was transfered to Newell, Cactur Camp 6726 in 1935.

BESSIE WILSON, WAS THE DAUGHTER OF DAVID KING WILSON AND SAMANTHA EMALINE BELLE CARLOCK-WILSON. THE WILSON'S, LIVED IN ALMA, AR., IN 1875. THAT YEAR, BESSIE WAS 6 YEARS OLD. THE WILSON'S LIVED ON A SMALL FARM, NOT TOO FAR FROM THE COMMUNITY OF ALMA. THE COUNTRY SCHOOL WAS LOCATED BETWEEN THE COMMUNITY AND THE FARM.
BESSIE HAD A PET PIG. WHEN GREATGRANDMOTHER SAMANTHA, WOULD PACK BESSIE'S LUNCH, SHE WOULD PACK ENOUGH FOOD FOR THE PIG ALSO. THE PIG WOULD ESCORT BESSIE TO SCHOOL. WHILE BESSIE WAS IN SCHOOL, THE PIG, WOULD WAIT OUT UNDER A NICE BIG SHADE TREE. EVERYONE WAS USE TO SEEING BESSIE AND THE PINK PIG, GO TO AND FROM SCHOOL. THIS HAD BECOME A NORMAL SIGHT IN THE COMMUNITY.
DURING RECESS TIME, BESSIE AND HER CLASSMATES, WOULD ALWAYS PLAY WITH THE PIG. THE PINK PIG, WAS VERY POPULAR, AND HAD MANY FANS AND ENJOYED MUCH POPULARITY. AT LUNCH TIME, BESSIE, WOULD TAKE HER LUNCH PAIL OUT TO THE NICE SHADE TREE, AND SIT WITH HER PINK PIG. THE PINK PIG AND BESSIE, WOULD HAVE LUNCH TOGETHER.
THIS IS A VERY CUTE STORY THAT BESSIE'S SON, JOHN TOLD ME. JOHN IS 87YRS OLD AND MY FATHER.
WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT HAPPEND TO THE PINK PIG. BESSIE WILSON, EVENTUALLY MARRIED A SCOT-ENGLISHMAN, ERNEST SHAW,MOVED BACK TO KANSAS, AND HAD NINE (9) CHILDREN. MY FATHER JOHN, WAS THE 8TH CHILD AND I AM THE OLDEST CHILD OF JOHN. I RE-ESTABLISHED THE ARKANSAS ROOTS, EIGHT YEARS AGO.
