Margaret Jeanneatta Stafford with beau on a ladder used to get from the beach to the seawall in Galveston Texas in the 1900's. My grandfather said the young men liked to stand at the bottom of the ladders as they might get a chance to catch a glimpse of a girl's ankle. How things have changed!

Adrian Balch Mary Pierce MARSHALL, sister of my ancestor, married Judge Joseph P. FOREE, July 1846 in Lewis Co., KY. He was the second son of William P. FOREE and Elizabeth J. MAJOR of Shelby Co., KY.

Adrian Balch I did a double-take when I saw this photo, but no way could he be my Robert GIBBINS (Givens in 1870 AR Fulton county census). In 1900, he would have been 72 or 73. :-(

Adrian Balch My Thomas CROW Sr. moved from Pendleton District, SC, to Morgan county, AL, in 1818. His great grandson Asa Lafayette CROW moved from AL to Charleston, MS, after the Civil War. This Asa CROW was my m. great grandfather.
