Family portrait of the William R. Ramage family, taken in Tucson AZ. mid 1970's. Justina, Nancy, June, and Bill.
Three comrades in arms: Merle (?), Bill Ramage, Nick Lung. We were stationed at Walker AFB at Roswell, New Mexico. The 509th Bomb Group. This was taken in 1949 or early 1950. Nick lung went on to Air Cadet training and the last I heard he was flying Jets. Merle transferred to another squadron in a reorganization move. I became a supply Sargent and went on to serve two more years in the Army. I would welcome any news about Merle or Nick.
Three raw recruits: This is a picture of three guys who enlisted in the Air Force in 1948 and our first time in Class 'A' uniforms. Alan Kohlander on the left. Bill Ramage in the middle and Jerry Warnke.
The two bottom photos are of my sister, Evelyn Ramage McCarthy. They were taken in 1943 at 211 Henning Street, Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin. Note the very stylish hat. The pictures were sent to her husband who was in North Africa at the time and he carried them all through the war. The upper picture is the McCarthy family about 1956.
Mother and Daddy's wedding picture 8 Sep 1920. Oshkosh, Wisconsin They were wonderful, kind, hard working parents.
