My dad, Second Lt. Joe Baur, in front of the Ohio State University Armory.
He was killed in action in Holland on September 18, 1944. He served in the
Army overseas 2 years as a gunner on a tank in
North Africa and then Europe in World War II. He was the son of Robert E. and Mildred Kappen.
