1992 Universal Studios, California. We had a lot of fun that year. We tried to see as much as we could in our 10 month stint living in Irvine, CA while he was on assignment there. I love So. California.
Before David lost his leg to cancer he was in the U.S. Army Reserves and he loved repelling. He was very active,he loved running and roller skating and said later he would have loved to have done basic training all over again.
David was on assignment for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Co. out in California for 10 months working on the Space Station, this is the mock up station they allowed people to tour. It was 1/4 the size of the actual space station.
Oct. 31st 1985 David was undergoing chemotherapy after his leg was amputated in June. This was his 22nd birthday. He was a student at SIU-C at the time and still not officially discharged from the US Army Reserves.
