Mary Rennie Laird who crossed the plains with the Willie Handcart Company: I believe this picture was taken in Salt Lake City soon after Mary and her husband James crossed the plains to Utah with the Willie Handcart Company in 1856.

John William Spackman was born in 1873 in North Ogden, Utah. He went on a 2 year mission for the Mormon Church. This is his picture with a companion of whom I don't know the name. He died in 1928 in Tremonton, Utah.
Marva Spackman graduated from the eighth grade and this was her graduation picture. That was all of her schooling but by reading many books she became a very smart woman.
Jerome Bishop was born in Crown Point, Essex, New York on 28 May 1811. He married Laura Snow Davis in 1831. He moved West with the Mormons about 1856. They had seven children. He died 17 March 1849.
Laura Snow Davis was born in Danby, Rutland, Vermont in 1812. She married Jerome Bishop in 1831 in New York. They came to the West with the Mormons about 1856. They had seven children. She died in 1893 in Ogden, Utah.
Neils Oscar Thueson was born in Scipio, Utah in 1871. He married Lydia Webb in 1897. they later moved to Idaho and raised a large family. He died in 1941 in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Mary Rennie Laird (1826-1883)came across the plains in 1856 to Utah. She came in the Willy Handcart Company with the Mormons. She and her family almost died from the hardships of the trail. She came with her husband, John Laird, two sons and a baby, Elizabeth. She had ten children.
