My Great grandparents. John Patrick and Mary Thomas Wilhelm Beaty. They lived in Zephyr, Brown County, Texas most of their lives, only moving to Del Rio, Val Verde, Texas after a fire destroyed their home in Zephyr. They lived out their remaining years with their daughter in Del Rio. Both are buried in the Westlawn Cemetery in Del Rio.

A great picture of a great couple. My grandparents Willie Frederic "Bill" and wife Etta Mae Simpson Moegelin. I believe this is one of their anniversary photos.

This is my grandfather, Willie Frederic Moegelin. We called him grandpa Bill because we had so many grandparents that were living at the same time, we had to differentiate them from one another somehow. He was an avid fisherman and loved to go camping with all of his children and grandchildren. He worked for H.E.B. grocery company as a truck driver that delivered groceries to various H.E.B. stores around the state of Texas. When he drove that big truck, he would stop by our home and bring us candy or fruit and visit a while before resuming his trip, usually when his deliveries were already done and his truck was empty. He was b 23 Apr 1897 on the Salado creek near San Antonio, Texas. He d 23 May 1964 of a spider bite on his leg that became infected. He like his wife was a very family oriented man who had a gentle soul. He was a tall man with brown eyes, and a gentle smile. When he saw one of his grandchildren they got a quick hug in his big muscular arms that made you always feel safe and loved.

This is my grandmother Etta Mae Simpson Moegelin. She was born the 3 June 1903 in Democrat, Comanche Co, Texas. She died the 2 Sept 1989 in Austin, Travis Co, Texas and is buried there in the Austin Memorial Park cemetery. She was an avid fisher woman and loved the many camping trips she and her husband took. She was also very family oriented and made many trips to visit with her children. She had many a backyard picnics with all of her children present. She had nicknames for all of her grandchildren and loved being with them as much as they loved being with her. She was a down to earth lady, a great friend and a fun companion. She didn't have much but what she did have was love of life and family. She lived out her last days with one of her children in Austin.
