This photo was left by my great aunt, Nina "Lois" Berry Starr Hodgkins. She said it was a BOUDINOT, but may be a STARR or LOWERY/LOWRY/LOWREY

Who is this man? It was believed to be William Penn Boudinot, but have found out for sure it is not. My great aunt, Nina "Lois' Berry was adopted by Samuel Saguila " Pony " Starr and his wife Eliza Catherine "Carrie" Horn. I feel sure he is a family member. He could be a STARR, LOWERY, or REESE.

I think Calvin Davis was on this ship. He served in the late 20's early 30's for the navy.

It looks like a military base to me, so I'm guessing World War II. Possibly a wife/girlfriend with man, but looks old enough to be a mom. A slight resemblance to Bucky McGonagill but he didn't serve in the war. Maybe someone related to the McGonagills, like a Garrett or Brown or Lewis or Neatherlin? Maybe related to Mom's side: Greenhaw, Graves, Wozencraft?

If any of the military details can be distinguished it might be helpful in identifying this couple.
USS Waters
USS Waters
This photo referrer about the crew of the navy ship, I thingk USS "Waters," when was in harbor of Ponta Delgada, Island of São Miguel, Azores in 1919.

This ship and another ones served as escort of Flying Boat "NC4", when the transatlantic voyage in same year.

I will be very interested in find out if some of this crew still have families leaving in United States, and I could get in touch to confirm if this really the ship in question.

Can you confirm the identity of the ship or any of the men in the photo?
