Nov 6, received letter, Daddy is in France with 409th Infantry, left Camp Howe, TX Sept 22, 1944.'

On the back is written in pencil the following, as well as I can make out. She was born in 1877 to Leander M Ford and his wife Frances R Harmon in Webster Cnty, MO. Married William A Gallion. Was survived by 3 children, Virgil A Gallion, Bertha Eller & Florence Snyder, was preceeded in death by 2 sons Benjamin, 1918 and Jake, 1944, and her second husband Lee Day. She died 2-5-1954, Wellington,KS.
