John C. and brother Jesse lived in Mason Texas part of their lives where they still have relatives. They were Texas Rangers 1870-1871. They are on 1870 Census records with their mother and siblings. Anyone with info on anyone in photo please share.

Isaac Alexander Beam, born 1852, Cleveland County NC.- died Mason, Texas 1938 His father was Peter Beam son of John Teeter Beam of Cleveland County NC. He was the only child of Peter Beam & Elizabeth (Houser). This photo is Isaac & grandchildren, Jetty, Lettie, Hanie & Pershing. Their father was Rufus F. Beam.

John Calhoun Beam was born 1852 in Shelby County Texas. His Parents were Ezekiel & Elizabeth Beam ... Mason, Tex. census 1870. He was a Texas Ranger 1870-1871 under Capt. James M. Hunter Company I Frontier Forces.His brother Jesse was also a Texas ranger who married Sally Monk. E. Beam was also a Texas Ranger at the same time, I believe this to be Ezekiel father of these two Rangers.

Sally Monk was wife of Jesse Beam born 1855, Shelby Co. Tx. Jesse Beam was a Texas Ranger 1870-1871. His brother John Calhoun Beam was also a Texas Ranger 1870-1871, both under Capt.James M. Hunters Command Co.I Frontier Forces.Inlisted at Ft.Mason Texas.Sallie & Jesse married at Ft.Mason Texas. Here she holds son Seth Ezekiel. She died when he was about 3 yr. old and is buried in Polk Cemetery, Mason,Texas.I believe she died in childbirth birthing Silas Beam.

IvyBeam Bailey There are mistakes in the obit. His name was Rufus F. Beam and some of the childrens names and paulbearers names are spelled wrong.
