Minnie Ester Griffis was the daughter of Joel G. Griffis and Nancy Henderson Griffis of Clinch County Georgia. She married Ira P. Mattox seen in photo. Minnie died Dec.15, 1921 shortly after the birth of her 4th child Ira W. Mattox. Minnie was buried at Evergreen Cemetery in Jacksonville Florida.

Ulysses Cleveland Griffis nicknamed (Teon) was born a deaf mute. He was the son of A.B.(Buck) and Lena Griffis. He lived a full life in Homerville Georgia. He conducted his personal buisness affairs without assistance.

A.B.(Buck) Griffis was married to a cousin Selena (Lena) Griffis daughter of Joel Gustus Griffis. A.B. and Lena lived on the old Samuel Griffis Sr. homeplace in Clinch County Georgia and are buried there in the Griffis cemetery. William (Bill) McCain pictured on left.

Rubie Griffis was the daughter of Joel Gustus Griffis of Clinch County Georgia. Rubie was married to Daniel Dellous Bennett Nov. 15,1903 in Argyle,Ga.He died 1914 in Screven County Ga. She married second D. Hopps Bennett 1925. Rubie was post Master for the U.S. Post Office in Argile Georgia.
