This is my Mum before she married my Dad on 17th August 1935. She was in service with Doctor Leyton. Dad coloured the photo in with special paints to make it look like a coloured photo, which of course in those days, didn't exist
Josie (Batchelor) Vernon (me) in 1941 in the United Kingdom, taken outside the back kitchen door after the big raids. Note the window has been blasted out and covered with a temporary protection. The meat 'safe' if behind me. No fridges on those days!
Mr and Mrs (Doris & Cliff) Watts, our neighbours. Mr. Watts was our local ARP warden. He died in 1947.

Noel Kenneth Batchelor: This is a photograph that my Father sent to Mum when they were courting
Gwen Death Batchelor: This is a picture that Mum sent to my Dad when they were courting in 1927.
Gwendoline Batchelor and David Batchelor: This was taken of my Mother and Brother in 1941, They are wearing their siren-suits. These were all-in-one suits that were worn to keep warm in the air-raid shelters.
