She was the last living member of her Tribe the CALIPODIA and her name was Lize. The photo was taken in 1910 in Brownville, Oregon.
Mattie was very proper, she had High Tea every day, dressed and prepared herself for visitors. Her parents were: Liberty Wellington Butler and Permelia Polhamus "Pamela". She was an upstanding citizen of Littleton, Colorado and is buried there along side Robert Deloss Haight her husband and other family members. She was born in Spring Water, NY as best we know.

Haight in Spring Water, Livingston Co., NY on Sept. 22, 1869 Resided most of their married life in or near Littleton, Arapahoe Co., Colorado.
