James Dolan was born in Ireland in 1824, came to Hunter, Greene Co., NY in the 1830s, enlisted in Co. E, 15th NY Engineers 8 Jan 1864 as an Artificer.
Grandfather: Thomas Lackey, cabinetmaker; Ireland to NYC in the 1820s. Parents: Michael, 1815-1901, moved to Hunter, NY 1830s, and Catherine BURKE, 1825-1905.
