This is a favorite photo of mine! It LOOKS to be of two very young sailors in Honolulu. One with a pipe in his mouth, the other carrying a box of something!

The back of the photo reads "Gunken TW Ind. Deeds JC Mary - March 1945". My translation might be off a bit, it's hard to read some old hand writing!

Who are these two sailors?

Old Group Photo - 1936-37
Attached is an old photo I received from cousin Richard Kerr. Looking for any help in identifying those in the picture. I have numbered and listed those that we are sure of on the bottom of the picture.

Not sure where or when picture was taken, or what the occasion for the gathering was, but would like to know?

By the ages of the cousins listed, it is estimated that the picture was taken about 1936-37.

Anyone with any information regarding this picture please contact we at [contact link], thanks so much.

Picture received from Kenneth Harold Pitzer, Sr., DEC 2004. Ken said he received it from our Aunt Minnie Maye Pitzer Kerr, but did not know when. On the back of the picture it has four names of those in the picture. The girl in the back row in the middle is said to be Bertha Izola Boyd. The girl in the middle with the white stocken cap is said to be Alice Ruth Pitzer, and to her left to the far right of the picture is James Paul Pitzer. The boy in front behind part of the McPherson College flag is David Ray Vaniman. It is thought that this picture was taken at the McPherson College and all those in the picture were from Oklahome. Do you know the names of any others in this picture?

William Richard Love Home
William Richard Love Home
Picture taken about 1900, Center Township, Reno Co., Kansas, USA. It is a picture of the William Richard (10 APR 1839 - 14 JUN 1921) and Perneacy Robinson (3 SEP 1857 - 30 NOV 1930) Love farm stead. William served in the Condfederate Army. Born in South Carolina and raised in Mississippi, moved to Kansas in the 1880's. William and Perneacy had thirteen children. William and Perneacy are my wife's great grandparents. We are unable to identify anyone in the picture, but sure they are all Love family members. This house is now gone, but the land is still in the Love family. One interesting thing is, the Love's brought with them from Mississippi, day lily flowers which were planted near the home. There is now a large area of day lilies near where the house once stood. Descendants of the Love family go there and dig there own day lilies to plant near their own homes.

Siegrist Women
Siegrist Women
Thought to be Siegrist women. Picture was believed to have been taken on the front porch of John Henry Siegrist home, located on west Blanchard Road, South Hutchinson, Reno Co., Kansas, date unknown, but before about 1935. The lady on the far left, in front of the window is beleived to be Hazel Urdine Glass, who was married to Alpha George Siegrist, August 8, 1906. It is thought that two others who might be in this picture are Mary Elizabeth Siegrist (b. 19 OCT 1854 - d. 17 SEP 1945) who married George LeRoy Spangenberger, Feburary 4, 1875 and Anna Marie Siegrist (b. 9 MAR 1872 - d. Mar 1950) who married John Claude Epperson, November 6, 1890. If anyone knows for sure anyone in this picture we sure would enjoy hearing from you. This picture from Margaret Louise O'Hara collection.

The mystery is: Who are these women and Why is there no men in the picture? If it was a family reunion, you would tink there would have been some men folks around?
