Bryant Schmude

Here little Jacklyn sits on Mr. Conductor's (Bryant Schmude) knee as everybody sings her "Happy Birthday to You" ...while aboard Schmude's special electric trolley. This was yet another run of Bryant Schmude's Mr. Conductor Birthday Trolley in SW Pennsylvania.

Created in 1994 by Bryant Schmude ("MR CONDUCTOR") is the unique MR CONDUCTOR Birthday Trolley operation in SW Pennsylvania. Here after two decades of educating and entertaining youngsters of any age--is Schmude shown with a 1947 PCC type streamliner class electric trolley which he decoared as a Birthday Car for 5-year old Miriam. The sign is handmade...it is hallmark of Schmude's creation.

BRYANT SCHMUDE is best known as "MR CONDUCTOR" on the historic electric railway system in SW Pennsylvania/USA. He is a published author of numerous articles as well as the creator of the popular Birthday Trolley operation at the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum Railway operating in Washington County, PA. Schmude's colorful interaction with the public along with his skillful playing of his tiny Prussian Banjo has made his efforts a joy in which to partake.

He was born in Brooklyn, NY however grew up--from the age of 2--in Dooker's Hollow-North Braddock located east of Pittsburgh, PA in the shadows of the once mighty J.Edger Thomson Steel Mill.
