L/Corp A.E.Naunton served with the 5th Dorchester Regiment from 1914 - 1917.
He went missing in action just north of the village of Beaumont Hamel, France on 17 Jan. 1917.

Henry Fairman was born in Chelsea in 1835, the son of Joseph Fairman and Elizabeth Pawley. In 1859 he married Jane Naunton (Smith) He was a Waterman on the Thames. He Died at Radstock Street Battersea, in 1921 and is interred at Streatham Cemetery. Their Children were Mary Ann, George, James, Charles,Laura, Florence and Louise. His Step son was Thomas Smith.
I believe this picture was taken in 1905 about the time that my Grandfather Joseph Bowden Died. It is taken in the same yard as another photo I have of my uncle. Joseph Bowden was born in 1851 in North Molton Devon.
