Frederic wed twice: 1st in 1967 to Gail Tallman ( later divorced ) and had 1 son. He wed 2nd in 1986 to Susan Dittman, b. ca. 1950 with no children via his 2nd wife.
Frederic Leake was the earliest direct male ancestor of the Leake-Leek line to pose for a photo. He had dark brown hair & sported a moustache from mid life on. He was a bank worker in his early years and was a French Professor at Williams College in Williamstown. He gave assistance to the founding of St. John's Episcopal Church there. He reluctantly gave permission to his son Richard to have a series of historical lectures to be published in a book titled Historic Bubbles and mentions in his introduction in the book that it was not an original idea with him.
After the death of his 2nd wife, Frederic wed 3rd on Apr.19,1877 in Williamstown, Mass. local to Elizabeth Esther Sabin, b. Aug.26,1839 & d. Mar.10,1910. No children by his 3rd wife.
Frederic and his last 2 wives are buried at Westlawn Cemetery in Williamstown, Mass.
