Kathleen was a wonderful lady and dear neighbor of mine. She lived down stairs from my apartment. She suffered with epilepsy and had some ruff days. She wanted to be independent and live alone. She had caretakers come at night to help her get ready for bed I believe they cooked her dinner for her as well. She was a active member at the Zion Lutheran Church and she played piano for them. She loves playing her piano she would play it during the day. She was a lonely person that longed for friends. She was friendly to everyone. She didn’t drive she would walk to the store and the shops nearby when she needed things. On November 11 2001 she was brutally murdered in her apartment by a man that she befriended earlier that week walking home from the store. He forced his way into her apartment and he brutally took her innocents away from her and her life. He was caught a week later while he was trying to attack another woman in the Hammer Lane shopping center across from were she lived. Kathleen was a kind and good hearted person she lived with her cat whom she loved with all her heart. She was very religious and a wonderful person. I will never forget her.
