Abraham Henry Barrett was born in 1862 to Abraham Barrett and Ann Eliza (Martin) Barrett, and had siblings Amy Martha (Barrett) Proctor and Joseph Barrett. He was in a relationship with Sarah Jane (Cox) Barrett, and had children Irene (Barrett) Moulynox, Florence Barrett, and Graham Barrett. Abraham Barrett died at age 65 years old on January 15, 1928 in Launceston, Launceston City Council County, TAS Australia.

The Examiner, Launceston, Tues 17 January. 1928. Mr. Abraham Henry Barrett, a resident of Launceston for the past 30 years, died at his residence, East Launceston, on Sunday morning at the age of 66. He was a son of the late Abraham Barrett, who in 1864 was Mayor of Launceston, and who was for many years principal of the Collegiate School, Cameron-street, Launceston, where the late Abraham Henry Barrett was educated. The latter spent a little time in New Zealand when a boy, but soon returned to Tasmania and later married Miss E. J. Cox, of Piper's River. On January 3 last Mr. Barrett was in good health, when he had a severe stroke, he seemed to be improving but he sank over the week end, and died on Sunday morning, of Mr. Barrett's 12 children,( five sons and seven daughters) three sons and five daughters are living.
