Did you know?
In 1928, in the year that Angel M Chico-Lopez was born, Mickie Mouse was born! He first appeared in Disney's Steamboat Willie, along with Minnie. Although they were in two previous shorts, this was the first to be distributed. Steamboat Willie took advantage of the new technology and was a "talkie" - music was coordinated with the animation. It became the most popular cartoon of its day.
Did you know?
In 1930, at the age of merely 2 years old, Angel was alive when on August 6th, N.Y. Supreme Court Judge Joseph Crater went through papers in his office, destroyed some of them, withdrew all his money from the bank - $5,150, sold his stock, met friends at a restaurant for dinner and disappeared after getting into a taxi (or walking down the street - his friends' testimony later changed). His disappearance was reported to the police on September 3rd - almost a month later. His wife didn't know what happened, his fellow Justices had no idea, and his mistresses (he had several) said that they didn't know. While his disappearance was front page news, his fate was never discovered and after 40 years the case was closed, still without knowing if Crater was dead or alive.

Elvis Presley Drafted!
"All Shook Up" wasn't just an Elvis hit in 1957, it was the state of the nation's female population when Elvis Presley was drafted into the U.S. Army in March, 1958. Tens of thousands of fans wrote letters to the Army, asking that Elvis be "spared" from the draft. Many thought that it was the end of the King of Rock and Roll, and that his career couldn't survive a two year hiatus. Of course, Elvis returned from the Army and became an even bigger sensation - even inspiring the Broadway hit Bye Bye Birdie and the subsequent movie of the same name. Until his premature death in 1977 at age 42, he was an icon - and remains one to this day. Here's a look at the arguably most influential entertainer of the 20th century from his childhood through his Army career.
