Arturo Diaz Pagan was born on November 25, 1932 in San Juan, San Juan Puerto Rico. He is the child of Alberto Diaz-Padron and Juanita Pagan-Diaz, with siblings Alberto, Amelia, and Maria. According to his family tree, Arturo was father to 7 children. He married Isabel Franco-Diaz, and they had children Carmen Iris Diaz-Cheek, Arthur Diaz Jr., Miriam Diaz-Villa, Yvonne I. Diaz-Fluhr, Nancy Diaz-Kubus, Yvette Dianne Diaz, and Jesse Alberto Diaz. He died on October 11, 1985 at Kessler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Mississippi United States at 52 years old.

In 1932, in the year that Arturo Diaz Pagan was born, on February 27th, actress Elizabeth Taylor was born in London. Her parents were Americans living in London and when she was 7, the family moved to Los Angeles. Her first small part in a movie was in There's One Born Every Minute in 1942 but her first starring role was in National Velvet in 1944. She became as famous for her 8 marriages (to 7 people) as she was for her beauty and films.

In 1945, he was merely 13 years old when on May 8th, World War II in Europe ended when Germany surrendered. Hitler had committed suicide a week before.

In 1958, when he was 26 years old, on January 31st, Explorer I, the United States' answer to Sputnik I (and 2,) was launched. America had entered the Space Race. The first spacecraft to detect the Van Allen radiation belt, it remained in orbit until 1970.

In 1975, Arturo was 43 years old when on September 5th, Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme tried to assassinate President Ford in Sacramento, California. She failed when her gun wouldn't fire. President Ford escaped a second assassination attempt 17 days later on September 22 when Sarah Jane Moore tried to shoot him in San Francisco. A bystander saw her raise her arm, grabbed it, and the shot went wild.

In 1985, in the year of Arturo Diaz Pagan's passing, on March 7th, the song "We Are the World" was released as a charity effort to alleviate the African famine. The song was written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie, and produced by Quincy Jones. They were joined by 37 other famous singers in the recording studio and a phenomena had begun
