He died at the age of 32 after a prolonged coma due to head injuries sustained in an auto accident seven years previously. His teacher shared a memory of Barry at Barry was my student at Newport high school.

I remember Barry as a sensitive, bright, inquisitive young man. He was one of the most engaging students I ever taught.
