  • Introduction

    Ben was a television and stage actor who was probably best remembered for portraying twin brothers, Jason and Benny Tate, on the daytime soap, RETURN TO PEYTON PLACE, from 1972-1973. He did an outstanding job with this role because he really cared about being an actor. This dedication to his profession, helped propel his career into nighttime television. He co-starred in many popular TV series during the 1970s until his final appearance in THE WALTONS in March 1981. I remember reading many years ago Ben's comment about his role as Benny and Jason Tate on Return to Peyton Place. He said, "Playing a "heavy" is a real challenge. It's so unlike me."

I also recall he played Bobby Chandler on General Hospital for a brief time back in 1966.
