In 1903, Cachot was merely 6 years old when the book The Souls of Black Folk, written by W. E. B. Du Bois, was published. He even has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. "What's up, Doc?"

In 1967, in the year of Cachot Davis's passing, between June 5th and 10th, Israeli and Egypt, Jordan, and Syria fought what came to be called the "Six-Day War". It ended with Israel occupying the Sinai Peninsula, Golan Heights, Gaza Strip and West Bank.
