Cecilia, or Ceil, as we called her was like a 2nd Grandmother. We lived in the same building when my brothers and I were children. She would take us down to the street to buy ice cream from the Good Humor or Mr. Softee truck. After moving to Fort Lauderdale, we would visit her and Fred when they vacationed in Hollywood, FL, and bet on the Dog Races. Ceil would tell stories about how she used to enter dance competitions and on one occasion won the top prize and was interviewed on TV. She was always embarrassed by how she responded to the question they asked her.
