He had siblings Eliza Jane Parkes Peeck, William Henry Parkes, Margaret Rachel Parkes, Emily Mary (Parkes) Dyer, Annie Ada (Parkes) Barber, Sarah Victoria Parkes, Florence May Parkes, Clara Edna Sargent, Andrew Vivian Parkes, Clifford Joseph Parkes, Edward Reuben Parkes, and John Robert Parkes. Charles Parkes married Ena Victoria Mary Pendergast in 1935, and died at age 64 years old on March 12, 1970 in Bairnsdale.
