    BERVER: Don Anthony Berver, 39, of Clifton, Ariz., passed away Saturday at Gila Regional Medical Center after a long struggle with cancer. He was born Feb. 9, 1957, in Denver. He grew up in Clifton and Tyrone. He was a 1977 graduate of Silver High School and was a U.S. Army veteran, having served with the 522nd Combat Engineers. He was employed by Phelps Dodge Corp. at Morenci. Mr. Berver is survived by his wife, Cindy, and three children, Teresa, Richard and Mary. He is also survived by his parents, Ruff and Pauline of Silver City and two brothers, Greg of Oakland, Calif., and Paul of Las Cruces. Services were to be held at the Silver City Church of Christ, 323 W. 12th St., today at 2 p.m. Interment was to be at Fort Bayard National Cemetery with military honors provided by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3347, Allingham-Golding Post 18 of the American Legion. Disabled Americans Veterans Chapter I, and Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 358. In lieu of flowers contributions to help the needy may he mailed to Cindy Berver. Family members selected Curtis-Bright and Lordsburg Funeral Homes to serve them.- Grant County Obituary Text
