1920 - At the age of only 7 years old, Edith was alive when in September, a bomb exploded in the J.P. Morgan bank building in New York City, killing 30 people immediately - 8 later died due to their injuries - and injuring another 200. At the 11th Academy Awards in February 1939, Walt Disney won an Academy Honorary Award - a full-size Oscar statuette and seven miniature ones - for Snow White.

1954 - She was 41 years old when from April 22 through June 17th, the Army v. McCarthy hearings were held. The Army allegations were found to be true. The U.S. Senate later censured McCarthy.
