Elsie Kauinui (Nakea) Picanco of Kailua, Honolulu County, Hawaii United States was born in 1924 in Honolulu to David Waimanalo Nakea and Annie Nakea. She had siblings Joseph K Nakea, Michael Nakea, and David Nakea Jr.. Elsie Picanco died at age 81 years old on October 26, 2006 in Kailua, and was buried at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park in Kaneohe.

    Elsie Kauinui Nakea was born to David Waimanalo Nakea (1881 - 1934) and Annie Kauinui (1881 - 1956) in 1924 in Honolulu, Hawaii and she had eleven siblings: Kalala, Clara, Phillip, Annie, Mikaele, Pearly, Alice, Maryann, David Jr., Michael, and Joseph Nakea. Elsie Nakea married George Correia Picano, Sr. (1907 - 1997). She sons George Jr., Leonard, and Wayne: and daughters Angeline, Patricia, Rose, and Lisa. She was survived by twenty-three grandchildren, forty-nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

He had survived two assassination attempts but had subsequent physical problems, suffering 3 strokes. He was in such great pain, it is said that he asked Stalin to poison him. The circumstances of his death are still disputed. He did oppose Stalin as the next leader - nonetheless, Stalin won a power struggle and ruled as a Soviet dictator until his death in 1953.
