Eolin (Clark) Hill was born in 1879 to Ann Box ( Clark ( Kelly and John Clark, and had a brother Thomas John Clark. She married George Ernest Hill, and had children Florence Eolin Ann Harry ( Hill and George Hubert Hill. Eolin Hill died at age 90 years old in 1969, and was buried at Korumburra Cemetery in Korumburra, South Gippsland Shire County, VIC Australia.

In 1879, in the year that Eolin"Ciss"Hill ( Clark was born, on October 22nd, Thomas Edison tested the first practical electric light bulb. Lasting 13½ hours before burning out, it used a "a carbon filament or strip coiled and connected to platina contact wires". He applied for a patent on November 4th, receiving the patent in January 1880.

In 1907, when she was 28 years old, in October, over a 3 week period, the New York stock exchange fell almost 50% from the previous year's high mark. Public panic ensued and there were runs on banks since the U.S. was in the middle of a recession. J.P. Morgan offered his own fortune to back the banks and he was followed by other financiers. This temporarily shored up the banking system, stopping the immediate panic. All of this led to the creation of the Federal Reserve.
