A photo of Abram Van Kleeck and his family taken in 1915. The un-labeled little girl in the center is Dorothy (Van Kleeck) Smith (1909-2010) who was still living when I first put this photo on the internet. Vera was not actually that tall. The photographer had her stand on a box for the photo.

The portrait was going to be of the two boys, but Vera pitched a fit and wanted to be in the picture too. She still looks a little angry in the final portrait.

1904 New York - Does the little girl look angry? That's because the photo was originally meant to be without her!
