Dayton, Ohio -- Francis E. Shaffer, 65, of Dayton, formerly of Charleston, W.Va. died Monday at home. He was a retired employee of First Tool and Dye Co., Dayton, and was a veteran of World War II. He was a 15 year resident of Dayton and was a native of Putnam Co. Surviving: daughters, Miss Kathryn Leah Shaffer of Gurnee, ILL., Mrs. Connie Frances Bays of St. Albans, W.Va., Lawrence Golden of Seattle, Wash., Michael Kent of Fort Knox, KY, Mark Edward of Charleston; sisters: Mrs. Helen Bulmer of San Antonio, Texas, Mrs. Connie Hall of Gaitherburg, Md.; 7 grandchildren. Gaten Funeral Home, Poca, W.Va. is in charge of arrangements.
