Mr. Henry Grusendorf, of Chicago, and Mr. and Mrs. James Pulford, of Savanna, Ill., arrived yesterday, being called here by the dangerous illness of Mr. Fred Grusendorf.
Mr. Fred Grusendorf, who has been at Buffalo Gap, Dakota, since last August, arrived home yesterday morning. He has been ill for the past three weeks, and his long journey homeward was a heavy tax on his failing strength. He now lies in a very critical condition, with little hope of recovery. His ailment is thought to be cancer of the stomach.

DIED - In this city, Saturday morning, March 20th, at five o'clock of cancer of the stomach, Mr. F. Grusendorf. Deceased was born at Westenholz, Hanover, July 18th, 1826, and has resided in Lyons since 1852. Funeral Tuesday at 3 P.M. from the residence on Third Street.

The postmortem examination held over the remains of the late Mr. Grusendorf last Saturday, resulted in finding that about seven-eights of the stomach was affected by a cancerous growth.
