    GEMMA PAHLER Birthday:6/25/1959 - 7/17/2014 PAHLER GEMMA E. Age 55, of Dormont, on Thursday, July 17, 2014. Daughter of the late Henry and Andrea Michalski. Beloved mother of Ronald and Robert (Danielle) Kozarian; loving grandmother of Emma Grace Kozarian; dear sister of Gerald Michalski and Jodie (Eugene); also survived by many beloved family and friends. She has touched countless lives through the dedication she gave to the children as an educator at Markham Elementary of Mt. Lebanon School District. In addition, Gemma will be remembered as an avid gardener. Friends are welcome Saturday and Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp., where a Funeral Service will be Monday at 11 a.m.

She worked for me cleaning house and driving me around Pittsburgh while she was going to California University near Pittsburgh. I helped her with her English homework. Gemma was very good in math. In a few short months she had enough money to buy a new car ($14,000) and happily bragged about it. I left Pittsburgh and moved to Virginia Beach. Birthday: 6/25/1959 - 7/17/2014 I once had given her gifts because she promised to stop smoking but she didn't. She died of lung cancer. Some day I would like to visit her grave.
