1967 - When he was 26 years old, between June 5th and 10th, Israeli and Egypt, Jordan, and Syria fought what came to be called the "Six-Day War". It ended with Israel occupying the Sinai Peninsula, Golan Heights, Gaza Strip and West Bank.

1969 - Guy was 28 years old when one hundred countries, along with the United States and the Soviet Union signed the nuclear nonproliferation treaty (NPT). It called for stopping the spread of nuclear weapons, the peaceful use of nuclear energy, and the goal of nuclear disarmament.
