Heinrich Julius Naumann of Australia was born in 1809 to Heinerrich Naumann and Louisa Zulmann Naumann. He married Henriette Wilhelmina Gulon, and had children Adolf Naumann, Amandus William Naumann, and Henry Julius Naumann. Heinrich Naumann died at age 71 years old in 1880.

In 1809, in the year that Heinrich Julius Naumann was born, on December 30th, Boston Massachusetts banned the wearing of masks at balls. Boston was following many other places - including England - by banning masked balls, which were considered to contribute to loose morals. After all, with masks, you couldn't tell the class of the person or even their gender! The law was extended in 1849 and repealed in 1963.

In 1824, he was just 15 years old when on December 3rd, the U.S. presidential election of 1824 was finally decided. None of the four candidates for U.S. President gained a majority of the electoral votes so for the first - and last - time the election was thrown into the U.S. House of Representatives for a decision, called a contingent election. John Quincy Adams won on the first vote. Another candidate, Andrew Jackson, never accepted the results and accused Adams and Henry Clay - the Speaker of the House - of striking a "corrupt bargain".
