  • Introduction

    Helen M. Chewning was the daughter of Francis B. Chewning, D.D.S. and Elizabeth H. Smith. She married Benjamin B. Harrison (related to the President) and had a son, Charles L. and a daughter, Elizabeth who later married a Sullivan. Helen then married John Dryden Brooks and had a son in 1889, John Howard Brooks. Mr. Brooks died in Salt Lake City in 1891. Helen and her widowed daughter later moved to California where they both show up in the 1930 Census.
