In Hawaii, a few thousand were detained. German and Italian Americans in the U.S. were also confined.

American citizens, they were convicted of spying for the Soviet Union. Their two young sons were adopted by a high school teacher and his wife.

1975 - At the age of 44 years old, James was alive when in January, Popular Mechanics featured the Altair 8800 on it's cover. The Altair home computer kit allowed consumers to build and program their own personal computers. Thousands were sold in the first month.
