Jasna is a lovely woman, when she laughs everyone laughs. She is hot headed and had a temper. She is very loyal and loving. A wonderful mother who protects her children. There's no doubt that she would fight and fight and fight until she got what she needed. She lived through the war in ex Yugoslavia. After 2 years in the war she managed to escape to Switzerland where she gave birth to her 1st child Tea Karajcic. She lived in a refugee camp in Switzerland for a while and then made her way to Sydney, Australia by plane. She came with a suit case packed with a jumper photographs and baby necessities.. With the money she had collected she bought a plane ticket to Perth where her brother had escaped to. And from there built her life again. When tea was 6 years old she met Jonathan James Ryan. Who she later wedded and had a child with Daniel Noel Ryan. When tea was 14 she was hit by a car and Jasna had to look after her,. When Tea was able to function a bit better, jasnas husband Jon developed brain cancer and died 2 years later. When he passed Jasna was diagnose with M. S and a brain tumor behind her left EYE. Jasna still lives and fights for her children and family.

In 1967, in the year that Jasna Karajčić-Ryan was born, between June 5th and 10th, Israeli and Egypt, Jordan, and Syria fought what came to be called the "Six-Day War". The hostilities began when Israel launched "preemptive" strikes against Egypt, destroying nearly its entire air force. It ended with Israel occupying the Sinai Peninsula, Golan Heights, Gaza Strip and West Bank.

In 1973, in October, Vice President Spiro Agnew resigned - President Nixon nominated Gerald Ford for Vice President. Nixon's tax returns came under investigation. Nixon offered the recently discovered Oval Office tapes be heard by one person and summarized - his offer was rejected by the Special Prosecutor. Nixon ordered the Attorney General, then the assistant Attorney General, to fire the Special Prosecutor. Both refused and were fired. The Solicitor General became the acting Attorney General and fired the Special Prosecutor (the Saturday Night Massacre). Nixon releases some of the tapes, under extreme pressure because of the firings.

In 1983, on August 30th, the Soviet Union claimed that a South Korean Boeing 747 jetliner (Flight 007), bound for Seoul from New York City, had strayed into Soviet airspace. Saying that they believed it to be a U.S. spy plane, the passenger jet was shot down by a Soviet SU-15 fighter - after it had tracked the airliner for two hours. All 269 passengers (including a U.S. Representative from Georgia) and crew were killed.

In 1990, after 27 years in prison, Nelson Mandela, the leader of the movement to end South African apartheid was released on February 11th 1990.

In 1996, on April 3rd, Theodore Kaczynski (nicknamed the Unabomber) was arrested. His mailed or hand-delivered bombs, sent between 1978 and 1995, killed three people and injured 23 others. Diagnosed as suffering from paranoid schizophrenia, Kaczynski is serving 8 life sentences without the possibility of parole.
