Early Life & Education

Jeffrey attended Meridian Elementary, Cordell Hull Jr High and Shorecrest High School in north Seattle. He graduated from Western Refrigeration School and eventually took a job as a Field Engineer that landed him in Hartford Connecticut doing engineering until he retired in 2013.
Military Service

Jeffrey was permanently injured in high school sports and was not a candidate for military service. His father was an MP with the Army in Korean War after having served in the Merchant Marine during WW2. One of his uncles was also in The Korean War and the other was a POW in WW2 Germany.
Professional Career

Jeffrey trained on printing and press operation in high school and was simultaneously working in the restaurant business which he continued after high school in Seattle. He was the Steward on the Forbes magazine yacht “The Highlander” and for a time was a fisherman & cook on a commercial fishing vessel “The Roman Holiday” and was a fishing guide in Bell Island Alaska. He also worked operating printing presses in Seattle and Hawaii. He then graduated from the Western Refrigeration School in Edmonds Washington eventually taking a job as a Field Engineer with a Major HVAC manufacturer in Hartford Connecticut. For a time he was the Canadian National Service Manager in Toronto Ontario. Jeffrey spent the rest of his career in Hartford as a project manager, service manager, sales engineer and commissioning engineer until his retirement in 2013. He maintained three state licenses for HVAC, Electrical and Engineering with 4 engineering credentials.
