He was married to Emily Eva (Hueston) Martin in 1917, and had children Ada Amelia Martin, John Clifford Martin, Vera May Martin, and Sarah Iolene Martin. John Martin died at age 85 years old on April 14, 1954 in Mooroopna, Greater Shepparton City County.
