The resources managed by the National Park Service have often been referred to as the "crown jewels" of the United States.

1927 - When he was only 11 years old, aviator and media darling Charles Lindbergh, age 25, made the first successful solo TransAtlantic flight. It became the most popular cartoon of its day.

1965 - At the age of 49 years old, Leo was alive when the television show "I Spy" premiered in the fall season on NBC.
