Andrucci, and had two older sisters named Matiline and Philomena Andrucci. They grew up in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA. Leonard received both his BS and MS degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. He enlisted in the Selectees (enlisted Men) category as a Private on July 26, 1943, in Allentown, Pennsylvania. At the time of his enlistment, he was not assigned to any military branch. In 1946, Leonard started his career as a drafting teacher with the Bethlehem School district. He later became the Assistant Director of the Bethlehem Area Vo-Tech High School, a position he held from 1964 until his retirement in 1981. Leonard was an active member of various organizations, including the Bethlehem Boys Club. He was named UNICO Man of the Year, and served as Vice President from 1990 to 1992 and President from 1992 to 1994 of the Bethlehem Area Retired Teachers. In 1986, he was elected as a Director to the Bethlehem School District.

Leonard A. Andrucci Obituary
Leonard A. Andrucci, 88, passed away at his home in Menlo Park, California, where he enjoyed the California sun and lifestyle for the last seven years.

Born in Bethlehem, PA to the late John and Rose Andrucci, he was the husband of the late Helen Svetec Andrucci, and was preceded in death by his two sisters, Madaline Lampietro and Philomena Brosky. He was a graduate and participant in varsity basketball and baseball at Liberty High School.

After proudly serving in the Army during World War II, where he was a surveyor in Panama and Central America, he received a BS and MS from the University' of Pennsylvania. He began his teaching career as a drafting teacher with the Bethlehem School district in 1946 and was the Assistant Director of the Bethlehem Area Vo-Tech High School from 1964 until his retirement in 1981.

His long standing Bethlehem civic participation includes stints as Chairman of the Redevelopment Authority and of the Act 94 Authority. One of his loves was using his drafting and building design skills to lend in the design of numerous landmarks and buildings in the Bethlehem area, such as the 8th Avenue Band Shell, the Meadows in Heller-town, the Bethlehem Police Club in Saucon and the Bethlehem Teachers Credit Union. He and his wife were members of Our Lady of Pompeii Church, where he tirelessly volunteered his time.

Services: Services were at St. Raymond's
Catholic Church in Men-lo Park, CA. He was buried at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Menlo Park, CA, and will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
