About Leonard

Introduction

Leonard 'Leo' Michael Pinna was born to Frank Michael Pinna and Nancy June (Finazzo) Pinna and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Leonard and Kathleen Rae (Kroetch) Pinna (first marriage for both) were married at Church of the Valley, Stevens Creek Blvd. in Santa Clara in 1972

To show how we choose familiar patterns: Kathy attended Church of the Valley with her family when she was a child, and her mother Marian Joyce (Benning) Kroetch lived in a retirement community across from the church before she died.

During their marriage they had one child Daniel J Pinna, and then divorced in July 1981. Kathy never re-married, and Leonard went on to marry twice more.

I know it's common, but I still find it amazing how young we look in high school the older we get. When I was in high school I felt that I was a young adult. Now when I look back I fight the urge to categorize that person as a child.

Great to find this photo of my dad.

I think my earliest memory of my father was a trip to Disneyland we took when I was either 8 or younger. I remember we drove to the San Jose International airport in his Mazda sports car and parked in the parking garage. This was a 1st for me ever parking in the garage at the airport because of the high expense. We stayed at the Disneyland hotel (again a first - in a previous trip we stayed in a hotel nearby) and I recall driving these radio controlled toy boats and spending time in the Tiki bar. :)
