He had three brothers: Philip (1922 - 1997), Marion (1927 - 2015), and Jacob "Jack" (1929 - 2003). He also had half-siblings Sarah, Morris, Solomon "Sol", Herman "Hyman", Freida, Alice, Harry, and Joseph. Louis Zaglin married Fay Grannick and they had daughters Sarah and Sharon and son, Charles. He also had a stepdaughter, Barbara, and a stepson, Norman. On his World War II draft card, Louis was described as being 5 feet 7 inches tall and as weighing 165 pounds. He had blue eyes and brown hair with a "light" complexion. He had a scar on his left forearm.

Surviving are wife, Mrs. Fay Grannick Zaglin, daughters, Miss Sarah Zaglin, Miss Sharon Zaglin, Atlanta, step-daughter, Miss Barbara Pinsky, Chicago, Illinois, son, Mr. Charles Zaglin, Atlanta, step-son, Mr. Norman Pinsky, Athens, Ohio, sisters, Mrs. Freida Kaplan, Greenville, South Carolina, brothers, Messrs. Jack, Philip, and Joe Zaglin, all of Atlanta, Messrs. Sol and Harry Zaglin, Greenville, South Carolina. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning, February 15, 1978 at 10:30 o'clock at Green Lawn. Rabbi Marc Wilson officiating. Interment, Crest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. Green Lawn Funeral Directors, 12 70 Spring Street NW. - The Atlanta Constitution (Atlanta, Georgia) Wednesday February 15, 1978 on page 27.
