I wanted everything a contradiction: the pants baggy, the coat tight, the hat small and the shoes large." The moustache was added to age his 24-year-old face without masking his expressions.

1917 - At the age of 30 years old, Mae was alive when the NHL (National Hockey League) was established as a response to the demise of the National Hockey Association (NHA).
