Margaret Lee (Green) Wise of Long Beach, Los Angeles County, CA was born on January 15, 1927 to Chester Green and Joan Thelma Davis. Margaret Wise had a brother Robert Green. She married Robert Miller, and they had children Leeann Miller and Steven Robert Miller. She also married Lowell Allen Wise, and they had children John Allen Wise and Steven Miller. Margaret Wise died at age 74 years old on August 9, 2001.

In 1927, in the year that Margaret L Green was born, aviator and media darling Charles Lindbergh, age 25, made the first successful solo TransAtlantic flight. "Lucky Lindy" took off from Long Island in New York and flew to Paris, covering  3,600 statute miles and flying for 33 1⁄2-hours. His plane "The Spirit of St. Louis" was a fabric-covered, single-seat, single-engine "Ryan NYP" high-wing monoplane designed by both Lindbergh and the manufacturer's chief engineer.

In 1954, when she was 27 years old, on May 17th, the Supreme Court released a decision on Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka. The ruling stated that state laws establishing separate public schools for black and white students was unconstitutional thus paving the way for integration in schools.
