Martha Jane (King) Goodes of Merino, Glenelg Shire County, VIC Australia was born on November 8, 1884 in Merino to Mary Jane (Jones) King and Walter Benstead King. She had siblings Elizabeth Ann (King) Goodes, Mary Ellen King, and Herbert Walter King. She married William Hannaford Goodes in 1906, and had children Gordon William Goodes, Winifred Martha (Goodes) Cooper, Clarence Roy Goodes, Hilda Agnes Goodes, Ivy Lillian Goodes, Alice Verna Goodes, and Melba Mona Goodes. Martha Goodes died at age 69 years old on December 16, 1953 in Merino.
